As you already know, Valli di Tures is (fortunately) a little out of the way. However, we are not too hard to find, and if you want to get out into the big wide world during your holiday, it’s not far either.
Starting your holiday with a clear conscience comes with a double reward.
If you travel to the Ahrntal Valley by public transport between May and October 2026, we’ll treat you to a “Taste Ahrntal” gourmet box – filled with delicious regional specialties.
It’s that simple: Just present your public transport ticket (bus or train) and your booking confirmation for your stay at Alpenfrieden at the tourist offices in Luttach, St. Johann, Steinhaus or Sand in Taufers – and the box is yours.
A small reward for you – and a big step for our nature.

Whether you are coming to the Val Pusteria from the west (Brenner motorway) or from the east (East Tyrol – San Candido), turn north at Brunico towards Valle Aurina. After a solid 20 km, in the centre of Lutago, turn left (towards Valli di Tures). Follow the mountain road for a further 5 km to the centre of Valli di Tures. Orient yourself using the church tower, and your holiday haven awaits next door at the Alpenfrieden.
From Fortezza, take the Val Pusteria railway to Brunico, and from there, catch one of the numerous buses to the Valle Aurina (to Lutago). From Lutago, (less frequent) buses run to Rio Bianco. Feel free to ask us directly for the best connections.
