South Tyrol is renowned for its skiing far beyond its borders. Weißenbach provides direct and easy-access shuttle lines to the big ski resorts Klausberg and Speikboden. The main ski run of the latter one even goes right past the hotel. For the rookies Weißenbach and its own small beginners lift offers a perfect starting point before heading to the more demanding terrain – the ideal family spot.

sledding fun for the whole family
This is paradise for sleighing. At the Alpenfrieden you can start right on your doorstep and take your sleigh up to the Busegge Alm. After stopping for a bite to eat at the rustic Alm hut a well-lit downhill run awaits the whole family. More adventurous riders take the Tristenbach sled run instead. With guaranteed natural snow for most of the winter the equally well-lit run leads to a plateau that is renowned for its three sun-kissed Alm huts. Be sure you are stopping by before you race down the adrenaline-fuelled 3.5 km run back to Weißenbach.

On the 13 kilometres long track you will pass the 'Schnaida Leachn' and cross the northern side of the valley before you get back to the village. Demanding? Certainly, but the many places inviting for a stop-by compensate for any drained batteries.
