… amid blooming Alpine meadows of Weißenbach

Summertime slowly but steadily cuts its way through the last frosty days and nights of the past winter. First, gentian blossoms timidly show themselves in their characteristic shades of blue long before the last snow will melt away. Later in the year, when knobby trees of larch wood begin to sprout it's time you start planning the upcoming holidays here in Weißenbach, South Tyrol. If you are as fascinated by this mountain scenery as we (still) are by the ‘Alpenfrieden’ then there are plenty of activities waiting for you to get the summer holiday experience of your life. Hike up to quaint alpine huts, climb firn-covered three-thousanders, feel the adrenaline rush during thrilling downhill bike rides or simply enjoy unhurried family walks on the sunny side of the majestic Zillertal Alps. You name it.

Hiking and mountaineering on rock and ice in the Tauferer Ahrntal valley

No less than 83 peaks above 3000 metres right on your doorstep offer plenty of opportunities for all tastes. Three thematic walks provide a first impression: beginners recharge their batteries by walking the ‘Gesundheitswege’ in Weißenbach. More adventurous folk walk the high-alpine parts of the world-famous Camino de Santiago trail. Aficionados of the cultural life enjoy the ‘Kulturmeile’ leading through the Tauferer Ahrntal. Let us inspire you with our wide range of outdoor activities.

Mountain biking across the Zillertal Alps

No matter if you choose Schönberg Alm, Riesa Alm or Pircher Alm –  the journey is (not) the destination. On top of each of the three bike routes a hearty South Tyrolean supper awaits you before you ride down the single trail back to the Tauferer Ahrntal. Some like to go even further and pedal onwards. The next alpine hut, rugged mountain peak or just another amazing panorama view of the Zillertal Alps and its (majestic) glaciers is waiting for you at the next corner. By the way, you can easily rent a bike, e-bike or kids bike at the hotel reception or place a reservation even before you start your vacation. We’re happy to help you out!
